Getting Ready for the Holidays

When most of us think about the holidays, we look forward to warm and cozy times shared with family and friends, decorating the tree, and watching the snowflakes gather on the ground. Experiencing beautiful times and wonderfully shared moments.

But not so for those who are less fortunate as the holidays can be a particularly difficult time of year. It is especially hard on those who are homeless, facing uncertainty and struggling just to survive.

At Ayuda, we know the struggle. We see it in the faces of our clients when they initially come to see us. This year Ayuda is launching a new initiative – our first-ever Holiday Giving Tree outreach project. The Giving Tree project jointly promotes immigrants' equal access to justice with the spirit of giving. By participating in Ayuda’s Holiday Giving Tree project you can help the clients and families Ayuda serves access our critical legal and social services, and give the “gift of giving” to a loved one as an alternative holiday present.

To be a part of Ayuda’ Holiday Giving Tree project simply confirm your participation vie email to jean@ayuda.com by November 10th.  Once you’ve confirmed your participation Ayuda will provide you with Giving Tree Holiday ornaments to be displayed on your office or organization’s Holiday Tree. 

Each ornament will describe what your tax-deductible donation can do for our clients. For example: Your donation of $75.00 can help a survivor of human trafficking access food, safe housing, job training, medical care and other basic needs by providing three hours of comprehensive case management.

We welcome your support with our Ayuda Holiday Giving Tree project. To help, simply confirm your participation via email to jean@ayuda.com by November 10th.  Once you’ve confirmed your participation Ayuda will provide you with Giving Tree Holiday ornaments to be displayed on your office or organization’s Holiday Tree.
